Belgaum was earlier known as Venugrama or a Bamboo village,
belgaum is also called as Belagavi in Kannada and Belgaon in Marathi language.
Belgaum is located in Karnataka state its one of the fourth largest district in Karnataka
after Bengalore,Hubli-Dharward and Mysore.The division comprises the districts of
Belgaum is about 2500 ft above sea level and belgaum lies in between Karnataka,
Maharashtra and Goa.
